At this point, you probably need to refile. You can do a FOIA request with DHS is you want, to request a copy of your file as well.

How do I apply for my parents to immigrate to the US?

Answered by attorney David Nabow Soloway
Immigration lawyer at Kennedy, Nalepa & Soloway, P.C.
Congratulations upon becoming a naturalized citizen! A Citizen may petition for his/her parents in the "immediate relative" category. Because your parents are located outside of the U.S., your family will need to go through "consular processing." The length of time needed for this process sometimes differs according to which consulate is handling the case.

Can co-sponsoring help two non US citizen get married?

You need a sponsor because they will be liable if he ever gets on public support (e.g., food stamps, general assistance, welfare, etc.). It is a way that our government makes someone else liable for any amount that they spend on the immigrant. That way they know that you will not be asking the government for any help : ).
